It has been said, life and marriage specifically could be seen as some as a grand adventure. Donald Miller writes that some people are surprised to find out their spouses are not Jesus and are human just like them and that this surprise leads to much discouragement. So, I have been thinking that I want to celebrate Dave and Diane's marriage adventure. An adventure it will be and has been indeed. Some people have babies and make posts on their blogs about their babies everyday and it's incredible. People want to see pictures of babies and such for we have deemed this adorable and cute. Love on the other hand is cute when you get married and then after that, my friends have told me no one really wants to see you kiss in public anymore. Although I'm not the type who loves public display of passionate affection, I do love public displays of love for each other quite a bit.
Hard things and tragedy have a way of sneaking into our eyes and it's allowed for us to all unite around things things. Rightfully so, we should be together when awful, not-God intended things happen. But we should also come together around good things, things full of joy, things full of hope, lives full of blessing and good gifts.
During this season of life God has blessed me with the most precious gift of a partner to journey through life with and I am so incredibly thankful. I am not sure I could be more thankful to be honest. Therefore, I am hoping to share in this journey and joy.
Now for the explanation of the pictures:
Pic 1: Cupcakes for our 2-year anniversary of being together! Ya!!! :)
Pic 2: Pumpkin Picking Day
We went to pick pumpkin's with Krissy & Alex. It was awesome and most definitely should be a family tradition! :)
Pic 3: Dave and Diane's 12-load laundry day
(For the first time almost ever I had a friend while doing massive amounts of laundry since we have no washer, it was a joint task and while still daunting it was nice to work on it together).
